How to measure

Check out the tips below on how to measure your Mirror Line products!

When ordering made-to-measure products from Mirror Line, please note that they are non-returnable. The person taking the measurements is responsible for their accuracy, so it is important to measure carefully before placing your order. Follow these tips to ensure accurate measurements.

Measuring guide for cabinets

  1. Measure the width, height, and depth at three different points. This helps ensure that any uneven floors, ceilings, or walls are taken into account, as this is especially common in older homes.
  2. Provide measurements as accurately as possible, down to the millimetre. Our retailers will take care of any necessary installation tolerances.
  3. A dimensioned drawing and photos of the room are very helpful. They allow our retailers to design a solution tailored specifically to your space. You can rely on their expertise – they work with a wide range of homes and storage solutions every day.
  4. Remember to note sockets, light switches, and skirting boards. They are not obstacles to installation, but they do need to be taken into account during the design process.
  5. Make sure that large cabinet components, such as end panels or sliding doors, can be transported into the room. Narrow hallways or spiral staircases may present challenges.

Measuring guide for sliding doors and glass walls

  4. Sliding doors require approximately 100 mm of depth when installed in front of an existing cabinet. This measurement applies to double-rail systems, where the doors overlap as they slide.
  5. Remember to note sockets, light switches, and door trims. They are not obstacles to installation, but they do need to be taken into account during the design process.
  6. Make sure that the sliding doors and their rails can be transported into the room. Narrow hallways or spiral staircases may present challenges.
