Not confident about measuring the space yourself? No worries – many of our retailers also offer measuring services. The design process can begin with on-site measurements, or alternatively our retailer can carry out a verification measurement before the final product order is placed.
As our products are made-to-measure with millimetre precision, accurate measurements are especially important. In older homes, it is also good to keep in mind that floors and walls may not be perfectly straight or even – differences of several millimetres or even centimetres are quite common. With made-to-measure products, these variations can usually be taken into account in the design. Sockets, light switches, skirting boards, or unusually shaped spaces are not an obstacle to a well-designed solution, as long as they are considered in advance.
Our retailers also ensure that cabinet fittings such as wire baskets and drawers are correctly sized so they can open and function smoothly behind the doors. Based on your measurements, they can also recommend the ideal number of doors for your sliding door cabinet, ensuring a solution that is both practical and visually balanced.
You can also include photos of the space with your offer request. Room measurements and a floor plan are especially helpful, allowing our retailers to recommend a solution that is perfectly suited to your space.
When ordering made-to-measure products, please note that they are non-returnable, as they are manufactured to the exact dimensions of your home. The person taking the measurements is responsible for their accuracy, so it is important to measure carefully before placing your order. However, you can also take the measurements yourself.
We have put together general measuring guidelines to help you measure your space correctly. To prepare a design plan, our retailers need accurate measurements of the opening where the cabinet, sliding doors, or glass wall will be installed. Our retailers will take any necessary installation clearances into account and ensure that the product is sized to fit the space perfectly.
