How much space do sliding doors require?
The depth of the top rail is 85 mm, while the bottom rack is slightly narrower. When installing sliding doors in front of an existing cabinet, we recommend leaving around 10 cm of space to provide a small access gap between the doors and the shelves.
What measurements do you need for an offer request?
For an offer request, we only need the exact internal dimensions of the opening: width and height. We recommend measuring the opening at several points to ensure accuracy. The final sizing of the sliding doors and the overlap between the doors are determined at the factory. However, if the sliding doors will be installed in front of a cabinet with pull-out accessories, it is important to choose the correct number of doors.
Can the bottom rail be installed on a floor with underfloor heating?
Yes it can: the bottom rail is attached with double-sided tape, which is very durable and discreet.
The room where the sliding doors will be installed has a height variation of around 10 mm. Will this be a problem with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors?
The sliding door wheel systems have an adjustment range of at least +/- 10 mm, so the doors will function well even with some variation in height. The doors are sized based on the average height of the opening and adjusted during installation for a perfect fit. If soft-close mechanisms are included, the maximum allowed variation is +/- 5 mm. If the variation exceeds this, we recommend levelling the opening.
I would like sliding doors for an upper floor room, but the ceiling is sloped. Is it possible to install sliding doors there?
Sliding doors cannot be manufactured with a sloped top. However, for sloped ceilings, a plastic installation angle is available and can be adjusted to match the ceiling pitch. We also recommend ordering a cover panel to conceal the installation angle.
Do you offer large room divider doors, around 140 cm wide?
Yes, we can manufacture room divider doors up to approximately 150 cm wide. Doors of this size require divider bars to reinforce the structure and make installation easier.
The ceiling height in our home is about 290 cm. Can we have sliding doors that reach all the way to the ceiling?
Using aluminium frame profiles, we can manufacture sliding doors up to 3.3 metres high.
Can your sliding doors be fitted with soft‑close mechanisms?
Yes, a soft-close mechanism is available for all our frame profiles. The mechanism catches the door before it reaches the edge of the cabinet and closes it gently. It also helps keep the doors more securely closed. Sliding doors must be at least 600 mm wide for soft-close mechanisms to be installed.
Are sliding doors suitable for humid areas?
Aluminium frame profiles are also perfectly suited for humid environments.
Can sliding doors be installed inside an existing cabinet frame?
In most older cabinets, the shelves and end panels are the same depth, which means sliding doors cannot usually be installed inside the existing cabinet frame. The easiest solution is to add new end panels approximately 10 cm deeper than the existing frame on one or both sides and install the sliding doors between them.
Are top-hung sliding doors available without a bottom rail?
Our range includes top-hung room divider doors that use a bottom guide instead of a floor rail to keep the door aligned. In this case, the door can slide across the opening by approximately the width of the door itself. The maximum height of a top-hung room divider door is 2500 mm (2300 mm with vertical dividers), and the maximum width is 1200 mm.
