Content or Functions that are Not Yet Accessible
Perceivability

- There is no visible keyboard focus indicator in the service. (WCAG 2.4.7)
- There is text in the footer of the service that may be difficult to perceive against the background. (WCAG 1.4.3)
- The front page contains a background video that cannot be stopped, paused, or hidden. (WCAG 2.2.2)
Structure and navigation
- Some buttons or activated text fields lack contrast for text between white and orange colors. (WCAG 1.4.3)
- Mandatory fields are not properly marked for all users. (WCAG 1.3.1)
Adaptability
- Some of the content does not adapt to changes in font size or zoom level. (WCAG 1.4.4)
Form Elements
- Required fields in forms are often indicated with symbols, but the meaning of these symbols is not explained. (WCAG 3.2.2)
- Not all errors are accompanied by clear suggestions for correction. (WCAG 3.3.3)
Use with assistive technologies and keyboard
The service is not fully usable with a screen reader or keyboard alone:
- The service lacks a skip link to bypass navigation. (WCAG 2.4.1)
- There are buttons in navigation that cannot be focused or used with a keyboard, and they are not clearly identified to assistive technologies. (WCAG 2.1.1, 4.1.2)
- Navigation items are focusable and readable by assistive technologies even though they are visually hidden. (WCAG 2.4.3)
- Some roles are incorrectly marked, which may result in screen readers providing inaccurate or incomplete information. (WCAG 4.1.2)
- Search results are very difficult to access with a screen reader or keyboard. (WCAG 2.1.1, 4.1.2)
- Assistive technologies are not informed when search results are updated. (WCAG 4.1.3)
- The image zoom feature on product pages contains incorrect labels for assistive technologies. (WCAG 4.1.2)
- Product size selection is not clearly accessible with a screen reader. Users focus on an element that does not match what is visually displayed. (WCAG 1.3.1, 2.4.3, 2.4.7)
- Color selectors on product pages are marked as links, even though some do not lead to new pages. (WCAG 4.1.2)
- The product dampening system selection is not clearly accessible with a screen reader. Users may focus on an element different from what is visually shown. (WCAG 1.3.1, 2.4.3, 2.4.7)
- Accordion buttons on product pages are not clearly marked, and some cannot be used with the keyboard alone. (WCAG 2.1.1, 4.1.2)
- The quantity selector for adding products to the cart is not clearly accessible with a screen reader. Users may focus on an element different from what is visually shown. (WCAG 1.3.1, 2.4.3, 2.4.7)
- The “Choose from options” link on product pages only shifts the view visually. (WCAG 2.4.3)
Modals
- The service contains modals that are not accessible. Focus is not moved to the modal, and focus is not trapped within it. Modals can still be perceived and focused with the keyboard even when visually hidden. (WCAG 1.3.2, 2.4.3)
- The shopping cart modal is not implemented accessibly. It is always visible at the bottom of the page. When opening the cart, focus is not moved to it, nor is it trapped within it. (WCAG 1.3.2, 2.4.3)
Widgets and Embedded Content
- The store locator does not inform the user of search results. (WCAG 4.1.3)
- The filter toggle in the store locator is always communicated as closed. (WCAG 4.1.2)
- Filtering search results in the store locator cannot be activated with Enter, as it always triggers a search instead. (WCAG 2.1.1)
- Buttons that provide additional information do not communicate their state. (WCAG 4.1.2)
- Links to driving directions are unclear due to a lack of contextual information. (WCAG 2.4.4)
- The Trustmary widget used in the service is not accessible. (WCAG 1.3.1, 2.1.1, 2.2.2, 4.1.2, 4.1.3)
Files
- Files available on the service (such as installation instructions) contain some incomplete markings, are tagged as being in English, lack proper file names, and some images should have descriptions for assistive technologies. (WCAG 1.1.1, 1.3.1, 2.4.2, 3.1.1, 4.1.1)
The shortcomings listed here are intended to be corrected by December 31, 2026.
Accessibility requirements do not apply to certain content
When searching for physical stores, the user can select the store of their choice from a map. The map is alternative and the user can search for a store based on text. The map is not fully accessible for users using assistive technologies or a keyboard. However, the accessibility requirements of the Digital Services Act only apply to maps intended for navigation purposes. The alternative map for store search is a Finland-wide Google Maps embed, which can be narrowed down to the area of a specific store and from which a specific store can be selected. You can try viewing the map information directly in the Google Maps application.
Exceptions
The planning tool has accessibility issues that may prevent its use by screen reader and keyboard users. As products designed with the tool are purchased through our retailers rather than directly through the online store, we currently consider significant accessibility improvements to the tool to be a disproportionate burden.
